I’m trying to put together my class schedule for February and would appreciate some feedback. Right now, I’m thinking Monday nights I’ll do a beginning and intermediate class on Country Two-Step and on Thursday nights I’ll do a beyond-beginning East Coast Swing (for those taking the beginning Swing class right now). The 2012 Sweetheart Jamboree, a 3-day dance weekend full of classes and opportunities to dance, is coming up February 17-19 in Bellevue. Hurray, I got enough people signed up for both East Coast Swing classes! In case you are planning to drop in and haven’t heard the news yet, the THURSDAY (Swing) classes this month are being held at the Bonaventure Senior Living facility, which is right off Sunset Hwy in East Wenatchee. Heading north on Sunset Hwy, drive past the main building and turn left on 29th. Turn left again into their parking lot. Come into the front entrance and someone will be there to point you in the direction of the room we’ll be using (probably down the hall to the right).

If you missed it, too bad. It was a great party! Everyone dressed up, we learned a few new mixers and there was a bunch of great food. Thanks to everyone who helped decorate, brought food and/or otherwise participated. And thanks to all my dancers for having made this a great year for me

There will not be a lesson at 7:00 pm, but we’ll teach some simple mixer dances and line dances over the course of the evening.
This will be the last dance of 2011 (no dance on 12/24 or 12/31) and we’re making it a Formal theme. Everyone should dress nice. Here’s your chance, ladies, to wear a pretty dress. Guys — wear a tux if you have one. Nothing is too fancy, though keep in mind you’ll need to be able to dance in it We’ll have decorations and snacks. Feel free to bring along a small plate of cookies or finger food to share.
